This course is aimed at Senior Officers (Deck and Engineering) and any person with immediate responsibility for the loading, discharging, care in transit, handling of cargo, tank cleaning or other cargo related operations on oil tankers and is a mandatory requirement under STCW Table A-V/1-1-1.
On successful completion of this course, delegates will be able to:
Hold a Basic Oil Tanker Cargo Operations certificate and have completed a minimum of at least 3 months sea going service on oil tankers or have at least 1 month of approved onboard training on oil tankers in a supernumerary capacity which includes at least 3 loading and 3 discharging operations documented in an approved training record book.
