PAL Foundation - Ratings

On successful completion of the course, participants should be able to operate the PAL in performing their day-to-day shipboard tasks pertaining to:

• Introduction to PAL with its System Overview, Features, Functions and System Administration
• Certification with all related activities
• Crew list (Entry/Updating of Crew list, Appraisals, CMS, Incidental Expenses)
• LPSQ (Audit and Inspection, Unsafe Act/Condition, Near Miss, Accident, Risk Assessment, Work Permit, Management of Change, Shipboard Meeting, Drills, Periodical Review, Activities)
• Purchase (Item Template, Create Requisition, Goods Receipt, Stock Control, Cash PO, Crew/Owners/Charterers Account, Month End Provision, Customers Satisfaction Survey, Stock ROB and Base Report)
• Use of application software QDMS Wiki
• Sea Roster (Activities, Report)

Deck and Engine Ratings including Catering Personnel with background in basic computer operation.

Classroom / Online

Combination of lecture-demo with hands-on practice and structured exercises that are focused on practical application onboard. Computer unit is made available for each participant. Remote access to PAL system.
