Course Description

Maneuvering Characteristic of PCC and PCTC special attention to Vessel stability, Vessel Course alteration, Anchoring, Docking and Undocking due to its size and height.

Course Content

On successful completion of the course, delegates will be able to demonstrate:

  • Understand the maneuvering characteristics of PCTC.
  • Understand the effect of external forces on PCTC handling.
  • Understand the effect of wind on PCTC.
  • Perform berthing/unberthing of PCTC in various Conditions.
  • Perform handling of PCTC in pilotage waters
  • Perform PCTC handling in various emergency situations.
  • Perform contingency planning.

All Deck Officers joining PCTC vessels.
