Our people taking action in their local communities to secure education for future generations

The Out of the Box outreach programme began in 2017 by Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM) to create learning opportunities for children in poor and disadvantaged communities where we have presence. Out of the Box – driven by BSM’s people – informs parents on the importance of education and provides primary and secondary children with tools they need to safely and happily receive their learning.

Education is for improving the lives of others and for leaving your community and the world better than you found it. – Marian Wright Edelman

The Out of the Box mission

Our mission is to facilitate learning by providing missing essentials to communities or schools in need. Our goal is to find more out of the box ways of growing this outreach programme and ultimately establish more schools in other countries.
